Woosah Warriors ( Part 1 )

Here at Woosah HQ – we are constantly squealing with frustration because at every turn we encounter the SAME obstacles.

It is very frustrating because the solutions to them are SO simple.

Obstacle 1 – Not talking because the Gremlins told me not to!

The horrid little “Gremlins” in your head are powerful – and they often stroke the egos of those unhelpful thoughts ladened with Stigma – that sit quietly in our minds……

“If you tell anyone about this… they’re going to think you’re a loser, you’re weak, that you can’t do the job”

“You’re going to lose everyone around you if they find out”

“You can’t talk about this – it isn’t appropriate”

Those nasty little ticks are honestly – evil – and they come from generations of having a stiff upper lip and showing people your best side – ALWAYS.

Don’t let the family down, don’t embarrass yourself, just don’t, everyone will think less of you.

Listen – and listen good – gremlins are only interested in themselves, they’re real sickos.

WHO in their right mind – pray tell – would listen to such nonsense if they understood that you can’t fix or solve a problem if you kept it hidden? And by keeping that problem hidden you are weakening yourself, making yourself MORE susceptible to bad things happen?

Honestly? PROBLEMS have SOLUTIONS. It’s not always easy to fix a leaking bath – especially if you don’t have the skills (or YouTube / Tik Tok – I mean WHAT a time to be alive) but it is possible….. you find the cause; you work on that and slowly but surely you work towards stopping the leak. Fixing it so it won’t happen again and tidying up the sloppy mess it caused.

It’s a pretty big deal at the time…but once it’s been worked through and solved ….. you will likely forget about it for some time……

We are all like leaking baths – baths with those jacuzzi sprays in – because none of us are a simple tub…. We have all aspects of holes, of potential issues, we all have burdens and pain….. but we can still work and we can improve the power of our water jets…. But these jets need cleaning…. Which brings us on to OBSTACLE 2

Obstacle 2 – Breaking Habits

We all have a brain – think of this brain as a computer. You might need to sit down for this next bit…… YOU are the developer / coder / technician for your brain. That’s right. YOU are in control of this human body you live in.

Your brain is shaped by 4 key things….. we used to say 3 but recent research has brought in a fourth which is quite fascinating.

1) Your Genetics

2) Your biology

3) Your experiences and last but not least – is

4) the experiences of your predecessors.

Let me try and explain – some scientists took some unfortunate mice and exposed them to electric shocks.

They then bred these “shocked” mice and repeated the process a few times….. until they were 4 or 5 generations down the line. They then took the baby mice of the last bred generation and while they didn’t expose these mice to shock treatment themselves, they exposed them to the sound of the electric shock and saw the same reaction as the mice who received electric shock treatment.

These baby mice had absolutely no reason to feel scared about this noise BUT THEY DID.

The did because the genetic coding in them from the generations who had gone before them and had experienced the electric shocking had been passed on to them…. And was the case for several more generations of these mice.

AS IF WE WERENT ALL COMPLEX ENOUGH!!!! We don’t only have our own crap to deal with – but that of our ancestors. I know right!!

If you think about how many routines and habits we have coded in ourselves over our lifetime, you would realise how many things you do that you don’t even realise is a pre set programme in your being.

Take ten minutes and write down every habit / repeat behaviour you practice….. really go into the nitty gritty…..the way you shower, the time you shower, the way you step in and out of the shower / bath, the towel routine, the shower routine…. Huns – you will be surprised!

So to change a normal pattern of behaviour, something mundane and “irrelevant” to you feels like it’s hard work and unnecessary.

You even thinking – but why would I? what difference would it make is you programming a negative thought into your being.

The BENEFITS from changing routines and patterns of behaviour is because it programmes your anxiety, your INSTINCT (your 6th sense) that change is good, change is OK, change is not going to end the world…… this means that you are building resilience. NOT ONLY THIS BUT you are stimulating your incredible brain in ways you don’t usually….. which works it, it strengths it, it builds neuroplasticity in it which is essential for good long brain health.

The question you SHOULD be asking is WHY WOULD I NOT???

Change your ways or be doomed……
